We are a Manchester-born medical education disruptor, built by healthcare pros to supercharge OSCE/MLA prep. Our AI-driven approach and clinical know-how create the structured, high-quality resources you need to conquer OSCE and PLAB.

Bridging the Gap for IMGs
Founded in 2022, The MDT sprang from two junior doctors’ shared experiences in Wigan—one a Nigerian UK-trained physician, the other an Egyptian OSCE course designer. They joined forces to tackle the challenges IMGs face, from adapting to the NHS to finding top-notch OSCE resources.
We spotted a glaring gap: plenty of content existed, but no platform offered on-demand, interactive OSCE practice. That sparked our mission to create a resource built for real, immersive learning.
Redefining OSCE Prep: Smarter, Adaptive, and Accessible
We soon met Yve, a pharmacist with a background in AI and user experience, whose expertise helped us refine our vision—focusing on both content quality and accessibility. Together, we began designing an OSCE preparation system that combined structured medical education with an intuitive, engaging interface.
With a shared commitment to bridging the gap between knowledge and real-world application, we set out to redefine OSCE preparation—building a tool that works smarter, adapts to the user, and prepares candidates for real clinical challenges. Today, The MDT is dedicated to helping medical students and IMGs train effectively, perform confidently, succeed in their exams and clinic practice.

Is OSCE Simulator Bot helpful for non-native English speakers?
Yes! OSCE Simulator Bot helps refine your communication skills by guiding you through structured responses, examiner-friendly phrasing, and patient-centered communication—all crucial for PLAB 2 and IMG candidates. OSCE Simulator Bot can speak multiple languages (including Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Russian, and many more), making it easier to practice and find your words in English, the language required for your exams.
Can I suggest new OSCE stations or topics?
Absolutely! We’re always expanding our content. If there’s a specific station or clinical topic you’d like to see, let us know through obijohnson40@googlemail.com, and we’ll consider adding it in future updates.
Do I need a study partner to use OSCE Simulator Bot?
No! OSCE Simulator Bot acts as your on-demand study partner, allowing you to practice structured OSCE stations solo. However, you can also use it with a study group by discussing responses together and refining your technique collaboratively.
Can I track my progress?
Yes! OSCE Simulator Bot now includes a learning tracker to help you monitor your improvement over time. We’re constantly updating the website—often daily—with advanced AI-driven enhancements in clinical reasoning, station selection, and adaptive difficulty. Our expanding question bank and resource library benefit directly from expert input provided by specialist consultants, registrars, and junior doctors, all currently practicing in the UK.
Our leaderboard will launch soon, functioning like a competency tracker, helping you clearly see your level of expertise relative to peers. Eventually, it may scale to ensure you’ve comprehensively covered all essential competencies within specific specialties.
As always, we recommend recording your practice sessions using QuickTime (Mac), Xbox Game Bar (Windows), or OBS Studio for personal review. Keep sharing your stations—it’s invaluable for your learning and helps OSCE Simulator Bot continually improve. Stay tuned!
What makes The MDT different from other OSCE providers?
The MDT is a Manchester-based medical education startup founded by doctors and healthcare professionals. Our mission is to make PLAB OSCE preparation smarter, more interactive, and accessible through AI-driven learning and high-quality resources.

While our current focus is on PLAB 2 OSCE preparation, we have plans to expand into broader medical education, covering a range of clinical exams and specialties. For now, we are committed to perfecting PLAB 2 & MLA training before rolling out additional content.
Can I apply to be a part of the team or work as a contractor?
